National Weather Service Data:  

NWS We want to make sure that you have the best possible data on any claim we service. So, when it's weather-related, we go to the best possible source: The National Weather Service for data sheets to confirm date of occurrence and determine date of loss.

Utility Inquiries:

Coverage on vacant properties can be tricky. So, to be sure that there is proper response to claims, we always obtain the utility's date of disconnection. This way, we're better able to determine an accurate date of loss.

Canvassing:

Canvas All claims servicing companies canvass, but we believe that no other company does it as thoroughly as we do. We conduct interviews with businesses, municipalities and neighbors of a site to verify date of loss.

This is especially important in vacant properties, tenant dwellings and commercial losses. It can help prevent your paying for losses outside policy term. That's why we're so thorough at canvassing.

Police, Fire Department Reports:

Some witnesses see one thing; some see another. Often, they disagree.

BadgeThat's why, for all applicable claims, we go to the official source.  We obtain reports and interview officers in charge of crime and fire related claims. If necessary, we'll record statements and include them in our report.

It's one more way we deliver something you don't always get from other companies.

Cause and Origin:

We feel our reputation rides on every report.  We work to make it as thorough, as accurate as it can be. To make sure data is complete, we provide cause of loss statements - even photographs when they're available.

If we think it's necessary, we'll suggest assigning forensic experts.

To help resolve underwriting issues, we include property valuation on all homeowner and commercial building losses. That way, your company can apply co-insurance penalties with greater accuracy.
